Lato elected Polish FA chairmanGrzegorz Lato, one of the outstanding players in Poland's football history, was voted chairman of the Polish Football Association (PZPN).
The 58-year-old former winger won the election in the first round, claiming a majority 57 of the 113 votes ahead of fellow candidates, Zdzislaw Krecina and Zbigniew Boniek. Beenhakker: We lost because of individual mistakes- We were prepared for a difficult game because Slovakia are a really tough side. Unfortunately we didn’t play like we did on Saturday and most of the game was very open. We had our chances in the first half ale but didn’t take advantage of them. We lost the match because of our individual mistakes and we have to accept that.
